Paper

2 Decades

The Previous Century

That’s how long I’ve been holding on to junk, more specifically, Paper Junk.

Old bills from as far back as 1998 when I started working.

Tuesday I thought it would be a perfect time to clean out my closet, got rid of some junk.

When I was almost finished I looked up, then I saw it, on the top shelf…

…a very old, yellow, CAT shoe box.

Years and Years of Paper

OMG! Do I have energy for that? Do I?

“It’s now or never” I thought to myself. Igot on a purple ottoman and brought the box down.

Oh, so many papers, almost too much!

I started going through the papers, old bank statements from my motorcycle, old pay slips, statements from furniture stores, water & electricity bills and telephone bills. Statements from Woolworths and Markham (when it was still called Markhams!) and Credit Card statements from Nedbank, NBS (yes!) and BOE Bank (I don’t even remember that bank).

Why did I think it would be wise to keep all those old papers… for 20+ years!

2020 were a great teacher, and it’s time I seriously get rid of all the JUNK. So there you go, 2 bags filled with old papers… out for recycling today!

Good bye and good riddance!
